Sustainable development
The performance of PPBA is not only restricted to the academic environment, given that the knowledge produced by the activities of the Program has repercussions in the society in which it is inserted, either by the work developed by the trained professionals, but also through projects led by its faculty. These projects support the implementation of public policies related to social, economic and environmental issues. Both professors and students of the Program are involved in activities that have interfaces with sectors of society, aiming at transmitting the scientific knowledge produced in the university to the population, in such a way that agents capable of promoting the preservation and conservation of the environment and biodiversity are formed, guaranteeing the sustainable development of the region.
