Support for education
Professors of PPBA are involved in activities aimed at primary and secondary school students, giving lectures at events such as the "Vestibular Fair" and the "Environment Week". This is the result of an existing partnership between the University Campus of Bragança, UFPA, and public and private school institutions in the region. In this context, there is also the "Open Door Day", at which time the schools are received at the University to learn about the campus facilities.
The Coastal Management Project (GERCO) promotes advice to public authorities regarding coastal management in the Bragança region.
PPBA has projects with strong environmental application, training and contribution to public and private policies regarding environmental monitoring and management, such as the Aquatic Biota Monitoring of Streams in Mining Areas of Paragominas AS, Pará, Brazil – Brazil – Norway Research Consortium.
