Dialogue with society
The Program develops the research and extension activity called Coastal Socio-Environmental Studies (ESAC – Portuguese acronym), along with the coastal community of the Zone of Bragança, through research that aims to dialogue with the local society on issues related to gender and coastal socio-environmental resources in areas of RESEX (Extractive Reserve).
Support for education
Professors of PPBA are involved in activities aimed at primary and secondary school students, giving lectures at events such as the "Vestibular Fair" and the "Environment Week". This is the result of an existing partnership between the University Campus of Bragança, UFPA, and public and private school institutions in the region. In this context, there is also the "Open Door Day", at which time the schools are received at the University to learn about the campus facilities.
